Wynonna - I Can Only Imagine

Did you know that Wynonna kissed my dear departed Jack Russell terrier, Roy, when he was 3 or 4 months old?

It was 1989 and I ran into her with friends of mine as Wynonna returned from a mountain bike ride on a hot summer day, to a KC hotel just off the Plaza.

She saw Roy and of course adored him, and then put him on their tour bus that was parked outside the main doors.

Roy peed on the Judds tour bus, and Wynonna just laughed. She didn't even seem to react (but I did!) when her mother, Naomi, swept onto the bus carrying several dresses, presumably for their concert just several hours away. Her mom's look was unmistakeably "We have a show to do and you'd better be ready."

I was just relieved, so to speak, that Roy didn't pee WHILE Naomi was on the bus!

As I think you know, old Roy left this earthly plane on February 5, 2007.

I wonder if any of Wynonna's dogs from that time are still alive. She mentioned "Elvis," "Loretta," and one other...
